Ms. Angel

Angel has been teaching dance for 16 years, sharing her passion and expertise with students of all ages. A Santa Cruz, California native, she began dancing at the age of two and entered the world of competitive dance by six. Her extensive training spans multiple styles, including Ballet, Contemporary, Acrobatics, Jazz, Hip Hop, Lyrical, Latin, and Modern Dance. Over the years, Angel has had the privilege of training with renowned dance educators such as Mia Michaels, Mandy Moore, and Allison Holker.

Her performance background is as diverse as her training. In addition to excelling in competitive dance, Angel competed in the Royalty Miss Pageant during elementary school and starred in musical theatre productions with Children’s Musical Theatre (CMT) in middle school. She also dedicated five years to vocal training. As a pre-teen, she joined a salsa team in San Jose, marking the start of 14 years of competitive dance training.

Before graduating from Abraham Lincoln High School in 2010, Angel was a member of The Convertibles, a nationally recognized championship-winning dance team. She continued her dance career as a principal dancer and choreographer for Bliss Dance Company and Illusion Dance Company at Ohlone College in Fremont. Throughout her journey, Angel has trained with esteemed studios across the Bay Area, including Nena Dean Dancers, Dance Attack, Dance Kraze, Ballet San Jose, T and Company, Infinity, and Motion Pacific Dance. Her greatest dance inspirations include her mother, Martha Graham, and Tate McRae.

In addition to her dance career, Angel pursued her passion for beauty and graduated from Paul Mitchell The School San Jose in 2022. She became a licensed cosmetologist and later returned to work at the school. She also teaches at John Casablancas Modeling and Career Center in San Jose’s Eastridge Mall. Angel is grateful to collaborate with close friends at The Dance Collab (TDC), where she continues to inspire dancers.

In 2023, Angel married her high school sweetheart and is embracing life as a newlywed living with her husband and three cats. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, going to the beach, and expressing her creativity through hairstyling, cutting, and coloring. She also finds joy in writing poetry and songs.
